MARRIED LIFE:         THE BEGINNING

Now they are marinated

And the weeding is over

Olive and Herbert start their thyme together

In an old stone cottage pie a stream

and harvester to die for

With broad beans of oak

And an old stone fir

Now it turnip that Herb

Is a bit young for his sage

And Olive can reed him like a brook

But he’s wellington to learn

To be a gourd Husband

And with the loaf Olive gives him

They are both on their whey

To being a happy and contented pear

And as the summer days of the weeding

Give way to days that get chilli

After wok in the evening

Herb builds a fir

And they seeds what’s on TV

Or just sit in silage

And look into each other’s chives

Olive loaves herb and Herb loaves olive

Lettuce leaf them there until next thyme…
