PAS DU TOUT
Here we are stuck in the artic
What are we to do
Rough up a makeshift igloo
And lie listening to the north wind blow
As it dances across the brutal ice flow
And what are we to eat
Can we catch a seal
And if we catch it can we skin it
And if we skin it can we cook it
And if we cook it can we eat it
Then we hear the pads of a polar bear
And see it pulling itself up to its regal height
Hungry, nose up to the northern star
Paddy pad pad, pad pad pad pad up to the igloo door
Giving us all a hungry stare
Arg arg arg arg
But are we worried pas du tout
Nous ne somme pas la nous somme ici
Stuck in the jungle our lot is not good
With creepy crawlies, ants and spiders
And slithery slidy things hiding in the wood
Of course high hamocks hung between high trees help
But the requirements of nature torments our sleeping hours with fears
Particularly after an evening of songs and beers
And the mosquito nets (purchased from a well-known discount store) are full of holes
And not up to the job any more that we
Then the hammock ropes drum to the nightly beat
As deadly and ants march in hope of human feast
But are we worried pas du tout
Nous ne somme pas la nous somme ici
Out in the vast silent tracts of space
Where no one can hear you snore
Or scream, and scream one does down time and space
Hush feel the silent empty space
(Whats with it with you over there
While others feel you just snigger
Have you not the emotional capacity to be moved
Carry on and make no mistake I will have you removed)
Alors then silence, silence out here in space
Listen to the silence so deep
But what is that a hiss I can hear
Has our faithful craft sprung a leak
Like the plumbing of a roast beef, expat, mayenne dwelling, B&Q, P&O, BO, BA, anglo
info poster poser would be bricolarger's plumbing after the final tentitive turn of the spanner
The precious oxygen is leaving the craft and our lungs gasp for air
Au revoir XX and XY carbon based units and friends of Tuesday
But are we worried pas du tout
Nous ne somme pas la nous somme ici
